I am sure many of us share a common memory of reading 休斯博士, from childhood, or as parents and grandparents. 休斯博士 (Theodor Seuss Geisel) was born this day in 1904 and published 44 children’s books in his lifetime. 最初，他被要求写书和配图，因为他发现给孩子们教基本阅读的文学作品很无聊。 他的作品一直激励着，并将继续激励着各个年龄段的读者。

In commemoration of 休斯博士’ birthday, the 全国教育协会 has dedicated March 2 to the memory of 休斯博士 by celebrating 全美阅读日 for the last twelve years.
